A graduate of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Barrister Tahir bagged a Bachelor’s of Art degree in Public Administration in 2006, another degree in Law in 2011 and a Master’s in Law with specialization in Commercial Law in 2014. He also has a Masters in Philosophy (M. Phil) in Islamic Law.
Barrister Tahir who on the Board of Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board from 1999 to 2003, was also the Public Relations Officer of Bureau for Religious Affairs(Islamic Matters) from 2001 to 2003, Special Assistant to the Governor on Hajj and Islamic Affairs(2003-2004), before he was elevated to Special Adviser, a position he held from 2007 to 2010.
The Director General was Executive Secretary of Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board from April to June 2013, before his elevation to Senior Special Assistant to the President on Islamic and State House Mosque, Abuja. He was also on the Board of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
